Washer and dryer in the apt? WOW that is so cool. I was thinking i might be staying by myself in one of the one bedrooms in watford city. At any rate apparently there will be townhomes opening up in the summer and i can go get my dog!!
Every time I drive thru stanley i think of you and wonder where you live. You were the first one that told me about power fuels. There are so many reasons why this was the only place i wanted to work.

 

I found out something sort of interesting the other day. I pulled in to put gas in my car and noticed the price of 3.69/gal. So i am pumping and noticed i am getting charged 3.74. WHat? i get the receipt and go inside. How come i am paying 3.74 for regular when it says 3.69??
Turns out the premium has %10 ethanal and is actually cheaper than regular. It was the premium that was 3.69! I've never seen that before.

 

is there an internet cafe there? or is it necessary to have internet on your phone? thanks

 

Good question on the internet hting I have a smart phone with it but somewhere I thought I read service wasn't that good in some areas. Not sure tho

 

They call it premium here, but it is only 89 octane. It is actually 87 Regular with 10% ethanol that boosts the octane to 89. You will get less miles per gallon with the 10% Ethanol. If I have the option, I will always get the 87 Clear Regular.

 

Yeah I haven't actually seen them I've just talked to several guys that live there, they all said they were pretty nice places. I thought they were all 2 BR's, I guess I just assumed cause that's what those guys were staying in. I don't live in Stanley so don't spend too much time looking for me there. I just work out of the Stanley yard. I live in Kenmare, about 40 miles from Stanley up 8 on 52, just east of Bowbells. I was wondering what happened to you after I talked to you before, glad you made it on board. And don't be too worried about being the only woman driver either, we have quite a few now, although you are still definitely in the minority for now I guess.

 

A lot of places have free wi-fi, and smart phones work, just not on every location, and there are some stretches and valleys where there's no reception at all. I used the wi-fi at the Cenex in Stanley before my daughter ran my ipod through the washing machine. Now I don't need wi-fi...

 

In williston there is an espresso cafe called the daily addiction. Its not fancy but its comfortable and casual and i like it. Its where i have been posting from this week. Right now i am sitting in a motel in watford city waiting to start training. I feel pretty lucky the wifi is good here.

Lightsout...yeah they have 1 bedrooms too. I was a little concerned after i read your post and went and talked to cobra7476 and he said they don't make people share only if you want to.
The guy in dispatch put me in the man camp today. I unloaded my car into the tiny room then had a sneaking suspicion so headed down the hall to see the bathing facilities. Sure enough they are community! I waltzed back to dispatch and said... U ever put a female back there before? Next thing i know im in the motel...lol I don't mind stayin with them but i AIN't gonna shower with them...

 

nope service isnt that great. i have sprint and i am always on roaming. works pretty good in williston tho.
