Why the difference between trucks?? Is it newness to the company or just something arbitrary??

we all need to remember that even if its at 62 the trips are planned at lower speed limit in order for drivers to make the del on time, for me it wont matter much bcs at least it will keep me away from speeding tickets,,:biggrin_25525:

Not sure what you mean. If by newness you mean equipment then yea. We have for quite a few brand new trucks rolling around and more coming. I got 16k on the dash now. Got it with 21 miles on it. All new trucks APU equipped as well. Makes life quite comfortable.

    Just washed her yesterday.[IMG]

    Update..

Load to Monroe, GA fell thru. Load was 300lbs over gross so they had me leave it at the yard. Got me preplanned on Ocala to pendergrass, GA. Heading out in a few hours.

First day orientation spend half day doing phisical/drug test since there is 11 of us, once we got back some pizza was waiting for us and finish our day with very good vibes on the company. They are working hard to make a difference in the driver which is great. tomorrow we start at 8am

Mostly I meant new to the company means slower speeds or is it just who got a truck that they haven't turned down yet?? I know years ago they ran 70+ cause y'all used to keep up with me when I was doing oversized and I could run 70 or better. 62 seems more like your in the way but that's my too old and been here too long speaking I guess, I have 80 mph truck and 0 points, 0 CSA score and 0 accidents in over 35 years out here, 62 seems slow....
But... I agree, you should go someplace that makes you happy, treats you well and you make money at, this is why I haven't applied there, no doubt I can make money and I believe they are trying to turn it around but... 62mph is not me. I will continue to follow though, you never know they might just surprise me!!!
    You guys stay safe!!!

I had to wait awhile to get in gate at Walmart in Ft Pierce. Once in, new load had me picking up late. I called in and was told they'll wait for me. Load going from Sarasota to Dublin, GA. Drop and hook for pickup. I arrive and was told office closed just 10 min prior. I took FL 70 across and it was 45 mph for first 30 miles. That dragged me down and if not for that, I would have swapped trailers and be parking at GA/FL line tonight. That was an unexpected hit. So I'll grab in morning and deliver tomorrow late afternoon.

Another truck is here waiting with me. He has been here a month all I have heard from him is whine after whine about how he got screwed because he had to leave the region and ended up near Arkansas. I told him I'll take it for him. He said ever since he said he will not do any other states than FL or GA that his miles have dropped, but he'll win that war and get his miles back. I only shook my head and walked away. Hard to make money turning load after load down and refusing to leave FL/GA... His fault, not the companies. Although to him, it's the company.

Soon as this place opens in the morning, I'm leaving him behind. He wants me to wait and run with him, but I don't think he can keep up since he already said we must stop every two hours so he can stretch. Lol. He was also telling me Link almost didn't hire him because this is his 5th company in 2 years... I ain't never.

Lol yeah some drivers never amaze me. Ill be running down 75 in early morning so im sure we will cross paths.

Also, when you do the dublin runs. If you get preplanned from dublin you can just drop& hook load for load, but that's only if you have a load coming out. If you get one, ask for the pickup number in advance and call 478-272-1600 and follow the prompts for shipping or guardhouse and they will let you know if its ready. You can sleep at SP in dublin if needed and there is the friendly gus at xit 54 and they have awesome food.
