I hope that nine-weeks was several tours and not just one. I once did a 49-day tour with Crete, and I thought that was bad. 9 weeks in a little fiberglass freightliner jailhouse-on-wheels would have had me in a straight jacket.

Only 49 days? My hubby got stuck out for 63 one time! I was starting to get really ticked off! I caled the load planner myself... "Hello, this is Guy's wife.." "Yes?" "Just one word of warning... Mama AIN'T happy!" and I hung up. Hubby was re-routed and was home 3 days later! And she left him alone for a week!

9 weeks wasnt all in the truck.

I just went to school back in August. 3 Weeks in school, 4 days of orientation, then a month with a trainer. In between were a few down days waiting for orientation to begin, and trainer to arrive but all of it spent in a motel away from home roomed with another student. So only about half of it was in the truck, but it has been a while since I have been home able to get to a computer. Normally I'll run 3 weeks then home for 5 days. Just longer the first time cause of me being a newbie.

Whats funny is now that I am home I am anxious to return to the truck. Didnt really expect to miss the truck.

That's reason number 432 I got out. When I took time off, I dreaded to go back to the truck. Sometimes I felt like I had to be pushed up into the cab on day one of a new tour.

Not really. It was just a bad case of she had pushed too far, and KNEW it. I never had complained before, and had always helped as much as I could. All of my communications with her before had been very pleasant, and always helpful. Just the fact that I was upset was enough to make her decide to change something.

Wanted Experence Drivers, that's generaly what you want. right! But with 23 years of pulling everthing from Haz-Mat tankers and everthing that could be attached to a tractor, perfect MVR and no violations.
When I applied to JB HUNT my pay and miles droped and when I asked why, I was told that that the started all new drivers this way.
Sence when did I go from an experence driver to a new driver. A new driver is someone who just started or has less than a year behind the wheel.
Who stupid do you think drivers are to listen to you?

If you want to change things at a trucking company. Organize! Get teamster representation. That's the only way. They will do the right thing or close the doors to the place. Also with the influx of Mexicans into the country it will not be long before they have the driving jobs Ameicans refuse to take. It's happening in other areas of the employment sector.

for 6 months they cannot recruit me but they always call me

took the jbhunt plunge back in 2001 stayed for 9 months

was hurt for 5 months when i fell threw the hole in the floor of the truck they gave me

then they fought the bwc claim cause they said since i drove a rental car to tampa to pick it up i was on a city street (i live in ohio)
i was near my residence lol

in the end i got back pay after hiring me a lawyer then when i was healed went back to work for them then finallly quit when the truck i picked up blew up after getting a a service from a columbus freightliner dealer. :biggrin_25514:the reason they can't hire me is missed to many
orientations like 55 of them but they still keep calling and im still approved as of nov.22nd good day
