On the yard since Sat. We kept telling our DM we needed to be here on Wed the 14th, but what did we know??? Hubby had to do a sleep study, which he passed with flying colors, still have to pay the $1200 tho. Waiting in the break room while he finishes getting cleared from the clinic and the place is crawling with O1 students. Wow, another 'winning' class, doubt more than 2 or 3 make it through Grad fleet. Looks like they ran out of places to 'stow' them and instead of making them sit at the tables upstairs like my class had to do they are now using the break room as an 'over flow' classroom. Praying we get back on the road this afternoon before I blow up at somebody, these people are out of control in behavior and volume.

Well, I finally finished delivering to Ralphs. Got my 10 while in the dock.
    Ya gotta love union labor!
Sent to San Diego for the first pick of 4. Those people are the quintessential model of bendejos!
"We have a quick load for this other truck. Then we can do you."
    Six hours later....
Finally loaded (8 pallets) and off to Yuma for the other 3.
All day I had been asking for my pickup numbers for the other three.
Can they get them for me?
    Ha!
Well I got Driscolls finally (one skid). Now across the street at Advance where I did my 10 and waiting to be called for a dock.
At least it isn't snowing here.
    I like the sun.

Right now it's between Trans Am and Steven's for me. Hope to make a decision in the next 24 hours.

    Congrats!

I assume you're using them to get your CDL, or is that part of their training regardless of your license status?

I believe those answers are on their website, I'm sure you could ask your recruiter as well.

You would be best to ask that in the Prime section. This is for Stevens Transport.

Well guys, I received yet another negative paycheck this past week, and I can't keep doing it. Out of the last 9 paychecks that I have received, 5 of them were in the negative. I have used every single cent of savings that took years to build up trying to stay afloat with Stevens. Heck, I even sold some stock. Anyways, I figured I'll give it another go at a company that won't nickel and dime a man to death. I got hired by John Christner Trucking today, and will be starting orientation with them on 04/01. That will give me enough time to get to the yard, turn my truck in, and wrap up any loose ends with Stevens in an attempt to leave on a good note.

I do appreciate the camaraderie within these forums, and will most definitely return...even after I'm no longer with Stevens. See ya'll on the road!!
