Glad to see Heartland not using the per diem thing boast their cpm. Lot of companies will boast about high cpm. But not tell you. You have to unload your truck, and that also includes all these extra benefits such as safety bonus, fuel bonus and 20cpm of Perdiem in which you end up owing uncle sam money at the end of the year.

I Read some more of these threads and it pretty much seems like a dry box version of Marten without the freight on trains deals. Maybe if the trucking companies get balls and get the govt to do away with 14 hr clock. You could make money in short hauls. Even though you guys who are making .48cpm are doing well. Company get's a big percentage of money and you sit and twiddle your thumbs and now you too tired to run those 300 mile runs in a slow truck from midnight to 5am.

Maybe when I get ready to retire. Heartland would be a good fit, but long haul runs is in my blood for now. I do believe truthin and Chrome dome are telling the truth. Its all about can you handle waiting to get truck serviced, and the free work you do in the city, and the driving and international lol. You guys keep feeding your family. Good thread keep up the good work.

    trucker43 Thanks this.

not saying that didnt happen to you, 4 years ago, but I have not heard that Heartland drivers have a hard time getting home for more than a 34 reset. heard more that they are home most weekends for 2 days in regional operations. Im curious, what 4 months in 2008 did u work there?

cynical, no not a recruiter and sure dont want anyone contacting me about a job. just keep it to the facts and what the real deal is with this company like others have done. there have been plenty of good people on this thread with their own point of view. and I will continue to have mine.
