I have worked for JBS now going on three years. I started with them in late 2009. I walked in with a little less than 14years exp. It took me four times to get them to complete my application process, either the server went down,or the website for bubba junk was not working right. finally I got all the information they required to be considered for employment. I have no marks on my record either by d.o.t. or by federal standards. no tickets,no accidents,no log book or inspections that were bad. I could not understand why i wasn't just being swept up. but i continued pursuing them for employment. i got the call i needed and at this time they were flying people out to them in Greeley. I worked for cr england at the time and had my 19yr old son with me, i had planned on stopping in Greeley putting him up in a motel with my stuff till i could go and turn in my truck to Cr England. I even put in for home time at the terminal so this could be done by a certain date. but England decide that no they were not letting me come to the yard even though i had appointments to speak with both Dan and Tom England upon my arrival. i called jbs and spoke with recruiting i explained my situation and was then told no issue, they changed my flight from salt lake to out of o hare loaned me the money to fly my son out with me on the same flight and put us up early in the motel at no cost. i dropped my truck off at the terminal i picked it up at and both myself and my son got one the plane. Jbs has done many things over the past two years both good and bad. But because of that one kindness to my son i knew i had found a home here. Jbs is a new company and with that there are some growing pains. Not all the person who work for jbs are polite and respectful to others but the majority of them are. the open door policy is real. if you have a issue that is not being resolved you can speak to someone till it is. but if you go in to the offices either safety or upstairs already sporting a attitude you will get one thrown right back. respect begets respect. I think some of us our here forget that. JBS Carriers may be a young company and with that there are issues. But at JBS, they know each and every one of their some 800 drivers by name not by a truck number. all the above is true and i don't know of any other company that would do that for a driver they have never met or even knew if they were going to keep. I'm just saying.![]()

Theirs a 600 page thread that says otherwise, they prolly do know you by name once you tell the person on the other end of the phone your truck #.

Glad you're having a good experience. Thanks for posting that!

So they hired you while Jr is tagging along and even paid his airfare and motel assuming while you were in orientation, then both of you get assigned a truck. Nice company. I'm impressed !

Not many companies will even consider doing that let alone do that for you and someone they have no interest in employing! Plus loaning you money to get out there and help with the kid... I have to admit that is quite impressive on jbs side. Thanks for posting!

i don't need to speak my name to either the dispatch department, planning or break down. unless the person behind the phone is real new. other wise i simply say hello "name" and i get hello "my name back"
