Love how the thread went to food. Guess we are all hungery. -
Want to thank you guys for this great thread. I'm a new student doing a weekend class at a CDL school (TMC does recruiting from this MN school). I won't finish until mid May, then I want to stay with my part time job driving a school bus until end of school year in early June. This is not a contractual requirement I just would prefer not to leave the job until school's out.
I think most of you newbies are much younger than I but I love the idea of flat bed rather than pulling vans. I'm 63, healthy and spotless records with good work history. I submitted a pre-hire app (actually it was submitted through my CDL school) Monday and haven't yet heard anything back. TMC and you guys sound like a very good fit for me. Hope I get a chance to measure up to the challenge.
Thanks for this great thread!Blind Dog Thanks this. -
All the "stories" you have heard about TMC, all it does is make you worry. Listen Doc, if your a clean, squared away person, that doesnt do drugs or have ANYTHING to hide, then you will do fine. Just like the TMC drivers who post here have said. On the flip side.... if you pop on the drug test, you are GONE. If your background is dirty, you are GONE. If you CANT lift the tarp safely....... you can guess.....wait for it......... yup, you are GONE! This place is GREAT. We did our 1st range today. My God those trucks!!!
Buckeye, done even think of going anywhere else dog!!! -

Ex88M, I'm not stealing your thread.
Im gonna wait till I'm out with my driver trainer before I start my own thread. If you all dont mind sharing this thread for another week. -
Thanks blind dog. I will be there on sunday.. just in time to watch the buckeyes win their first final 4 game.! I'm really excited I dont think there is a better place I could go. Especially with the v a apprenticeship program. I hope EX88M Continues is thread.. A lot of students at my truck driving school are very interested in tmc And I think is blog would be very helpful to them. I hope to possibly meet you next week. Good luck !

Hey Medic, I'd like to meet you too guy. I'll be here. Tomorrow I head to load securement!! The next step in this training. Medic, as long as you dont leave any dirty secrest off your application, you will do fine. We lost 3 more guys today. Background checks came back on 2, had prior DUI's, and failed to disclose that info to TMC. They were sent home on the spot. The other guy failed to be at his appointed place when scheduled. Hummm, doesnt that sound just like the military?
Its too easy to do what your supposed to do.
