You have to do ure time as with any job you cant expect to get in the industry and make 50000 the first year but the job can be rewarding im a third generation trucker and there nothing id want to do the rewards can be high you just have to be patient and most companys want that over the road expidrence

Conway just opened a terminal here in Cheyenne and are hiring for local positions. One of our former drivers went to work for them. He was telling me that a few of the drivers he works with are fresh out of school and are driving for them. They are making a decent hourly wage and are paid for overtime. Home every night and on their days off.

I remember back in 1980 something when $20 an hour was decent money for a truck driver.

I usually make between $800-$1k weekly as an OTR newbie at .32 cpm, and I rarely use up all 70 hours. Not like driving these rigs is exhausting work anyway like working as an order selector at a warehouse, etc. Its stressful, but enjoyable.
I'd still like for someone to show me another non-degree entry level job that is in such high demand and can pull that kind of money in while working 8-10 hours per day. -
More frieght is hauled by train than by truck???? Are you sure?
flightwatch Thanks this.
