Dont go OTR if you have a CDL

    Well its nothing new, just what I found out and didn't like.

    Main thing for me is taking the truck home. They don't allow it, they have you keep the truck at the terminal for maintenance. I know a lot of companies do this, I can't stand it.

    Also, you'll pretty much be slip seating your first year or two. My uncle told me it took him 4 years before he had his own assigned truck. I don't like that either. I don't want to have to drive my car to the terminal, load everything in my truck, then head out.

    Don't get me wrong, walmarts a great company, but some drivers I've talked to said they don't feel its as family orientated and the drivers aren't treated as good as they used to be when Walton was alive.

    Idk, whether the last part is true or not, I want to work for a company where I have an assigned truck and i can take it home with me is all.

    I am a local driver and not making anything.I don't get paid hourly unfortunately.So I am going to be looking for another job but i'm going to do the right thing and give a 2 weeks notice because my boss is one sweet lady.

    Some local positions are great and done not so much. My check for this past week was 1520.00. there are great local gigs out there just got to find them.

    I have a buddy who hauls fuel in South Carolina but is moving to Colorado Springs in November, does Gemini hire out of that area frequently?? Thanks.

    The closest place to Colorado springs where we have trucks is in pueblo North of there. Right now that location is fully staffed but that doesn't mean there won't be an opening at that time.

    But seriously tho, how in all good conscience can anyone work for walmart anymore, knowing they're robbing poor stupid white trash america to turn a buck and buy the chinese military bigger guns with which to threaten americans with?
