To ad to my original comment, my grandfathers neighbor does just that for Walmart; he travels to China to negotiate cheap fabrication of junk sold at Walmart.

Good enough of a job to put one son through college and law school; and the other through college and medical school...

    and I'm not ############ either...

On the other hand, Wikipedia also says ....
    "
Railroads account for just over 40 percent of freight ton-miles[citation needed], more than any other mode of transportation. "

so maybe it depends on who is doing the counting, and how they are counting, kind of like What is the largest Country?

I agree with you. Its BS.

Just like they want a guy to take a refresher course even though he has 20 years of experience but hasn't drove in the last 3

You do realize that wikipedia sites are created by regular Joe Blows off the streets, right? You can go in and put in information at anytime. I wouldn't believe those numbers unless they are from the DOT website.

Those numbers: Source: 2002 estimate by the Bureau of Transportation Statistics[26]
Note: Weights listed are measured in short tons.

Those are from 2002 also. That is a decade ago. Didn't they have a huge push to try and move more freight by Rail in 2004 or something?

Also, the "source" was BOTS.. but like I said, those statistics weren't added on that wiki site by the BOTS, they were typed and copied by a regular Joe Blow, who could've easily had a typo or mistake. I am not saying that for sure, just making sure you are aware of this before you take everything on wiki as 100% pure fact.
