TA and Petro Cards

    Guys, one thing I haven't seen posted or discussed here is TA and Petro "rewards " cards.
    Go to your local Petro / Flying J and get a card and get it set up. As far as TA goes, you can go to TA Ultimate Rewards and get it set up there (they don't have the cards at the truckstops like Petro does).

    Anyway, the long and short of it is, you need these things to get free showers. Also, with both, you add up points every time you buy something and with diesel at $4 a gallon, the points add up quickly. The Petro card can be used almost immediately......TA, on the other hand, takes about 3 months just to get (no kidding).

    Seroiusly, get yourself set up now. You'll thank me (probably not) later.

    Last company I drove for only used Pilots.

    I now buy where I find the best price.

    Have them for Pilot/Flying J and TA/Petro, Easy to keep track of showers, they both have smart phone apps to track them, and just use the points to buy WiFi most of the time. If you ever park at the TA off 280 on the Ohio turnpike, or the Flying J off 81 and the PA Turnpike be warned the wifi is garbage.

    Also with the Pilot/Flying J Rewards cards, once you get one go to the Pilot site online and register. That will make you a level II cardholder and when you meet certain purchase requirements (such as 1000 gals a month) your showers will last for 7 days instead of just 4.

    I use mostly Pilots and Flying Js and use their reward card. I just got one of those 12 volt coolers for my drinks for free on my rewards and did't even use half the point I had built up.
