another question...(yes, I'm paranoid, but after reading all these links...it's no wonder)...anyone ever take one of those "urine detecting" lights into a truck? I'm pretty sure all they are is a black light, but I've used this one that looks like a stubby Mag-lite because my two male dogs used to pee on EVERYTHING, til they got fixed...it's an eye opener...works to see how well the bathroom's been cleaned, as well (my son's job), would probably have me crying in the corner of the hotel room, etc.

I believe it has to do with finding a "safe" spot that's allowed by the property owner/management. Safe meaning not likely to get broken into, or getting damaged trying to park/move...or stuck.
And you need to live a certain distance from a terminal to park at/near home. All I know is I have the bases covered, for a change.

we definately live far enough away from a terminal the closest one is ellenwood 5 hours away & the closest drop yard is jacksonville also 5 hours away. but there are several places in town that has safe truck parking so I will have my husband inquire at the businesses.

double check with the company. I'd hate to give you partial information on requirements, but that's all I recall at the moment.

Here I go again...during the 3 weeks of schooling, are students expected to "brown bag" lunches?

Up to you. You'll be given lunch time each day, if you have transportation you can run and get something from wherever. That's how it was in 2008 anyway and I had driven my own vehicle.

heres the lowdown.....as of when I was in class last year...you foot the bill for transportation to the schoolhouse....you also pay for the hotel room...it was 450 last year...the room is decent and you have your own room.....for lunch you can drive to wherever you like for lunch....you have about an hour....you also have to pay for all your own meals except the last day...then they buy you lunch....

the hotel is decent...within walking distance of a grocery store, and walmart...there is a target or shopko nearby (cant remember which)...also there are restraunts nearby too.... there is a pool in the hotel...so bring your trunks:biggrin_25525: plus a hot tub....
