Also helps to always ratchet them closed before you hang them back on the headache rack(if it is an exposed rack)

Tip for removing anti-seize: The buckets of cleaning rags that Lowes & Home Depot sell ("Tub-O Towels" brand, bright yellow oversized container like Lysol wipes come in) will take it off immediately. They're the best cleaning wipes I've ever used...grease, oil, dirt, anti-sieze, anything, it just wipes right off with them.

popular is not what I use, I just get some motor oil and skip all the fancy, it is keeping some on there when it rains that is where the work is

Same here but I use gear lube only because it doesn't drip as bad since it's thicker.

I use the WD 40 version of White Lithium Grease but going to try that Fluid Film next time i go home...

I was talkin to a Driver up in Williston, ND and he showed me his ratchet binders and all of them had Grease Zerks he said all the Oil Field truckers have them, Anyone else ever seen these, or know where to get some i wouldn't mind getting a couple

Simple.....A drill, a tap, a grease zerk. Cost maybe $2 each binder.

I have not done the flatbed ratchet binder thing yet but I have never once had an issue using a Dry PTFE on anything metal to metal . Its a fantastic lube that does not collect crap after applying it , its not ridiculously messy like other products . Ive used it on screw driven actuators/motors , some guys would call them worm drive , which in reality is very similar to a ratchet binder .
