What Are The Crème De La Crème Of CDL Jobs

Every trucking job I've ever had, driver or o/o came through knowing somebody. This one didn't even give me a driving test, pee in a cup & get in the truck.

 

Very true, one of the most enjoyable jobs I had paid the least. Money was more important to me so I had to make a decision to move on. To this day, I still miss that job.

And yeah, cream of the crop jobs hit like a lightning strike. You gotta be in the right place at the right time. Word of mouth, and knowing somebody is usually what gets you into one.

I would encourage everybody trying to find something like that to keep their eyes and ears open. Never be afraid to ask, and never stop asking. The worst that can happen is they say no.

I've been transporting nothing but oversize for 16 out of the 17 1/2 years that I've been driving. In my opinion that is one of the better niches of trucking. Great pay and benefits!

 

Any one know how to get into the heavy haul jobs.

 

Driving a bus for a band I would think...

 

I work M-F start at 5am. work around 50hrs a week. get all holidays off and get payed over time after 32hrs on Holiday weeks. get 2 15 min brakes and 30 min lunch brakes i make 1100-1400 a week depends on over time. i have Health dental drugs, vision and its vary good. i pay 70 bucks a week for and thats for the family

 

They let you do drugs? Awesome!

I used to do drugs in the 60's. Now I don't care what temperature it is!
