Sup guys.. well I been searching for a job for the longest lately.
I graduated in July 2011 from an accredited school started working for a nice company in July through September 2011.

Then had to go home to take care of a old pending petty misdemeanor case, disturbing the peace that I didn't know was still pending.
They placed me on suspension till I took care of it, the catch was they only gave me 2 weeks to do so.
And if anyone knows about the legal system 2 weeks wont take care of anything.
So eventually as time went on they ultimately expired my employment.

So I finally got it all taking care of... so in the past month I been trying to get back over the road and it seems so IMPOSSIBLE! I never thought it would be so hard to get back over the road! wierd!

I dont have any points on my CDL's, im very good at driving, my trainer at my driver job said I was a "natural" at it.
I really enjoy driving.. I touched 40 out of 48 states in my short employment with them.

    I dont have any felonies.

But seems every company I been applying to seems to have a requirement thats been excluding me wiether it be I dont have 3 months OTR or my misdemeanor isnt 1 year old yet...

    Does anyone have suggestions?
What companys out there hire ppl in my predicament?

go back to your school. You may need a refresher course. Or at a minimum , see what the HR/job placement( if they offered that) person can do to help you find one based on present circumstances.

yeah I might have to consider refresher course, and yes they do job placement but haven't received too much response about that... ty for your response.

    I hope not ^^
but yeah allot of ppl are getting into truck driving because of the economy, not because they like it or have a passion for it.

Disturbing the peace ? Was alcohol involved ? If so, truck companies don't like that.

You were being teased 'cause you said you had CDL's.

Like as in many of them. Like in the old old days, and you had to remember which one to show a cop in which state... Hehehehee

no the disturbing the peace wasnt alcohol related... but lets say it was.. how would they know? when they do background check it doesnt show the police report.

/e but can someone post companies who hire people in my situation?
because i apply with so many job forums for trucking, and im hitting a brickwall here

Same answer as so many other threads like this. Knock on doors.
Clear eyes and an eager attitude will get you in some where.

If they send you away once, go back in a few days or a week. It shows that you are serious. It's a sales trick...

    Good luck!

Might want to check your DAC report. If it shows you worked two months and the jsut quit a lot of companies will look and pass you up for a newbie they have to train without a record of quiting.

Basically your a driver with zero experience. 99% of companies will have little faith you learned enough to be on your own, and 99.9% wont think you retained anything you did pick up.

Like they said keep calling your likely suspects, watch for smaller local jobs to get some seat time. Stay away from redoing a$ 5000 course.

pick up the phone book and put on your walking shoes.

It's about getting in front of the hiring manager.

Look for transportation, cartage and other similar headings in the phone book.
