Who would you tip at the truck wash? There might be 6-7 people working on it at any one time. If you tip each worker say $2.00, that's $14.00 on a $35.00 wash, getting close to 50%.
Getting pricey out there.

I tip $5-10 but it really has no impact on the quality of the wash. There is an independent on the west side of Atlanta that's cheaper than Blue Beacon and they strictly forbid tipping. Real nice job but they take their time so plan accordingly.
-
I've tipped before, but not always. Lately I've taken to washing it myself on the weekend since there isn't always a truck wash nearby and convenient.

If your company has any give away hats, those are very appreciated by wash bay crews, mechanics and yes, even the Bears.
But, have have not tipped or given hats to any "Streakin Beacon" crew for a long time! Many because my trailer comes out like crap about every time. The biggest issue is that my trailer in painted blue with some black in it. If it was plain white, probably never would be a big issue.
In my own opinion, Little Sisters Truck Wash in Barstow is the best!! And the #1 place in the U.S. to get the best polish job on your rig!! -
I do not tip. At all.
Spreading wealth? Sure I do. I pay good money for the service people purport to provide. Some live up to the bargain and continue to recieve money from me. Others fail and I do them the courtesy of not darkening their doorway again. That is spreading wealth, frivilous giveaways to assuage someones conscious for the guilt of having wealth is repugnent to me.
Poor old people raising multitudes of offspring on pennies a day. Well people are responsible for their actions. A little lesson people should be allowed to learn. I had no choice or say in those decisions I bare no responsibility for assisting in financing them. Save if you manage to provide a service I find useful.
To the OP no I do not tip a truck wash attendant. Of course I find it much cheaper and easier to just do it myself as I end up redoing it myself. -

Some washes use prisoner labor.
These guys are always hustling a "tip" or offering "extra" service for cash..
Hello, that's how ya got in jail to start with.
I pay at the counter for what I want and dont tip.Gizmo_Man Thanks this. -
I tip the guy at the car wash i get my pick up washed at, only one guy, doing a fine job. The truck wash i use does the best job anywhere ive ever been. I tip them with apples i bring back from Washington.

I sorta tip the wash guys. Whenever I have rejects on a load I "give" it to them. Washing a Reefer can be a PITA,especially after a nursery load. So I feel they can use food for a BBQ or whatever.

No, but if they do a great job I'll call Blue Beacon corporate and tell them about it.
That really catches them off guard. I had a lady tell me "Wow, we don't get too many calls from customers wanting to compliment a particular location."Gizmo_Man Thanks this.
