Jim, where is your fridge sitting and do you have it strapped or bungee'd? Mine is one of those small white Haiers they sell at Walmart. My size 16 feet can get all twisted up trying to turn around.

 

Darn, I never thought of using it to hold the microwave. I bought a wooden TV tray. I have a Mini K coffee maker. I'm not taking my tv yet. I have a Kindle Fire that takes up a lot less space and weight. It'll work for movies and stuff as long as I'm near WI-FI.

I have to call in Monday morning. I still have quite a bit of stuff to put in my truck, like fridge and groceries. The truck is already full of fuel. Should I get an empty weight? I seem to remember Lou or Jeff saying something about it.

It wouldn't be me if I didn't. Heck, I still don't have all the sand washed out of the tub yet. I wanted to use the same bag for my clothes that I carried my PPE in for sand. Ain't gonna happen. That stuff got in and on everything.

Yes...get your empty weight (while full of fuel)...it will come in handy someday.

Also, something thats good to know....diesel weighs appx. 7 lbs. per gallon.

 

Thanks, I already knew the weight of diesel. I've been a driver for over 23 years and I've had to deal with figuring out weights and fuel burn to get legal a lot. In the SWN division we didn't have to worry about any of that. This is just my first and hopefully last time foraying into flat beds.

Before I came to Maverick, the last truck I drove was a Volvo VN780. It being huge inside, I was able to carry a lot of stuff and I was comfortable. I'm hoping now I can find room in the Cascadia for the same amount, minus the TV.
