Turns our that most drivers were violating the HOS because they 1. stayed home too long, 2. spent too much time in the casino, 3. failed to plan their trips, 4. were planned poorly, 5. did the company a "favor".

I heard a lot of people say that running eLogs was going to "force" them to drive while tired, but when we examined the evidence they drove "tired" more often without the eLogs.

    Bull pucky,

So an E-log will keep a driver out of a casino in their 10hr break? It will 'force' them to sleep at a truck stop? I don't buy it for a second.

    Roadmedic Thanks this.

Simple solution.....Company drivers....Not only will you have Elogs...But Cameras in the cab...In the sleeper...And an ankle bracelet monitor to keep track of you all......

Oh the L/O and O/O's are exempt? It seems that those are the ones that are fudging/adjusting their logs where I work. We (company) drivers have the Peoplenet boxes that track us. The O/Os have the attitude that it's my rig and you're not monitoring me. I wonder why?

Not upset in the least. Thought I would just add to the fire. After all, once they finish with company drivers, they will come after us next.
