    Thanks Micky,

I've already sent an email to a recruiter, I was just looking for some first hand info from someone who isn't paid to get people on board but rather enjoy working for them and don't mind sharing their experiences with the company. If a company keeps its employees happy then the best recruiters that they have are other drivers. On the other hand, if the employees aren't happy then they probably wont have much good to say about the company.

There are a lot of military vets with Schneider. As far as working for Schneider, I'm happy here so far. They let me do my job and don't bother me with nonsense. Since you already have your CDL you may have to take some sort of CDL refresher course, or if you drove while in the military that may suffice as recent experience. The recruiter should have plenty of answers for you.

Vet here to, and Schneider treats me good.

I think if you drove in the Military and it is recent you won't need to take a refresher, but check with the recruiter.

Work flow fixes aka what they didn't tell you in training.

Tried something different this morning, then compared notes with second driver using similar tactic.

NAT issues can be avoided (most times) by editing the ETA before or after accepting, and waiting for the "ETA has been updated" response from QC.

Here's the rub. Other driver updates NAT also before accepting.

I updated my ETA after accepting. Then again after making active. Then set my NAT after receiving the "ETA has been updated" from QC

Common mistake: Assuming the ETA can not be set to a time prior to customer opens. This is wrong.

As an example my current load

ETA was 8am. ETD was 10:15. NAT was 10:15. Customer opened at 8am. Drop & hook. Too much time.

First I accepted. Then made active. Then set ETA to 07:00 and waited for it to update. Once it updated, my new ETD was 09:15. While the NAT remained 10:15.

    Updated NAT to 09:16

Again... Other driver updated both, waiting for updates between before accepting.

Try both to see what works for you.

TRAILER issues.... Upon arrival. Send arrival, check your p/u empty to see if a trailer is listed. If not, send "Request Trailing Unit", then continue into customer. And begin work. By the time you have dropped your trailer. The list should be populated for p/u empty task. Select trailer complete task.

    Work flow cont'd

If you receive a load with too much time from ETA to NAT. This is caused by the ETD as we all know.

Back your ETA up as far as needed, to bring the ETD in line with what the load actually requires. Then you can correct the NAT, once you receive the "Load information has changed ETA has been updated" from the QC.

This will cause you to get a "Late" prompt upon arrival. Simple response, outside delay from the list. Customer not open until xx in the comment box.

Make sure You can do the load as required by load planners and customer service.

And you will not be able to use a time that is in the past. So waiting til you get to the customer, then trying to roll the times back won't work.

so the essence of it is to wait til the system updates the times before updating your NAT? Man, that can be as long as an hour. Or at least it has been.

If your eta doesn't conflict with your nat...

If your nat is 0900 and you need to have your eta at 0930... You need to FIRST change your nat to at least 0931. You may have to wait for it to 'take'.... You will get a message that says Nat updated.

But if your eta is gonna be 0830 and you want to change you nat to 0845... You shouldn't have to do your nat first if your eta is before your nat first.

I do about 7 drops a day... So if there is something I know how to do, it's workflow.

Yes. But unless your doing a local it shouldn't be an issue. Just start rolling and update the NAT later.

Many times, the NAT is locked by the ETD. Which in turn is set by the "Special Services Duration" listed in the Additional info tab. The "only" way to reset it to an earlier time, is to update the ETA first, to an even earlier time. Or have the DBL do it.

Open windows allow for modification at will, for the most part. OTR and many regional drivers don't have the luxury of too many "open" window deliveries.

The ETD issues are getting better. But still leave a bit to be desired.

What I've posted is a "fix" for those that are still having issues. And much of it has been caused by poor training from the start.
