Is the training good.. I know once out of training when you go on the road with your trainer you get 90.00 bucks a day and if you want you can get the 250 sign on bonus for 25.00 bucks a day for the first 10 days. So this means you will make 115.00 a day for 10 days which isnt all that bad for newbie training and seems better then most other companies I researched. I may choose the 7/4 7/3 van division and was wondering how much I would make on average gross. I know since I will be home more I will make less for sure . The bad thing about it is I will have to slip seat and drive from either Gary Indiana or St. Louis Illinois to home when off. Thats a lot of gas money for sure since I live in Terre Haute Indiana. How far on average will the loads be in this division and are they good at getting home after 7 days. Any info will be helpful even if it doesnt pertain to what I ask. I had a class A once about 10 yrs ago so hopefully I will recall some of this stuff and Im actually used to driving bucket trucks and straight trucks all the time. Thanks![]()

Roehls training is really great, you'll learn the Roehl way first off. You'll like it. Any other questions let us know. As far as how much you make idk for the 7/3-7/4 program how much you'll make. On the 7/7 you'll make about 25k/year.
I rum van national, 20-30 days out, 5-6 days home.

Hi. I wonder if Roehl consider for training and hiring a driver with only 1 year experience as a class C driver. He has no violations and stable work history. And 1 question for myself
Would Roehl accept me for training if I live in Georgia and in which state the CDL licence will be issued in?
-
And Georgia has a terminal in ellenwood, you should be good to go. Put an app in and see what happens. Check out about getting your class a though.

I am going to call them tomorrow.

I just got my prehire letter from Roehl. Wondering about the hair follicle test. I've never had one done. Do they take a lot of hair? Mine's pretty thin/fine and I don't need any more bald spots. Wouldn't care if I was a guy, but a bald chick just ain't pretty!!!!! LOL Another question, do they do most of the employment/background checks and stuff before you go? I'm trying to get all my little ducks in a row BEFORE heading out. I don't think there's anything to be concerned about, but you really never know. oh, and while you are there (before you go out with a trainer) do you have to pay for hotel etc.?
-
Hair follicle is singlular....maybe two....they don't need a handful. I'm starting orientation/training in Appleton June 11th. First I need to finish the CDL course here in MN....always good to put first things first.
They're sending me to a clinic here a month before I go. They've already checked out my employment and back ground stuff. They may take a lot of student drivers but they do seem to not just take anyone who has a pulse.RebelChick Thanks this. -
Also....check out the Roehl thread under Trucking Companies on this forum. Lots of good people to help you with Roehl questions.
RebelChick Thanks this. -
They'll do all the background stuff before orientation, first day of orientation is drug tests, and a lot of paperwork.
In orientation the hotel stay is free

I called Roehl and they said that I need to have drivers licence class C for at least 3 years in order to consider me for training and they will not accept my driver's licence from Europe because they can not check and verify my driving record from there.
I guess not only my friend has this problem. I thought that my drivers experience from Europe is taken into consideration but obviously not!! I called the transportation division of the company I work for (retailer) and the manager in charge said that many of the traffic rules and regulations in Europe are very different from here so they want me to drive for at least 2 more years as a class C driver in this country in order to consider me for job
I guess I am in the same boat as my friend. I was worried about him because he is a new driver, but according to local companies I am new as well. This is absurd!!!
