Nope I didn't get the message. But like I've been saying if your eta Nat are used incorrectly it will hurt you. They are moving to a pefronance base system that is more like a report card.

I don't have issue with that.
But I do have an issue with the "order" of submission of our ETA.
We should not be held accountable for information based on incomplete load information.
I can be 90%+ on my shipper ETA. With little effort. But I can not even begin to promise 10% on delivery until I have ALL the required information.
Information which is missing in a pre plan. This information is only accessible when the load becomes active.mickeyrat Thanks this. -
I'm learning which routes they will likely want me to take and which routes are faster on my own. Like instead of U.S. and state routes, interstate may be some miles longer but actually save a little time because your speed remains constant. -
I use the address provided, and put it in my GPS.
Schneider routing still leaves a lot to be desired. Although I do activate it, just in case the customer entrance is different from mine.
I saved over 50 miles and 20 minutes by using my GPS over Schneider routing on a load last week.
Their route would have placed me over 10% OOR. It was back roads all the way. But that's not always a bad thing.stevep1977 Thanks this. -
Well, he sets my ETA to 12:30, I get there at 12:50 (20 minutes late which is a service failure based on my ETA). I was there between 12:30-13:00 now wasn't I? LOL
Well, to make a long story short, I artificially put in 12:44 as my arrival time, but still, talk about getting set up for failure if you don't work around the screw up. What's stupid with this whole ETA crap is I had until 17:30 to drop the load. These customers (Home Depot in this instance) don't give a crap when the load arrives, as long as it's inside the service window. This stuff in that one qualcom message about how important the ETA is to our customers is laughable. It's important to SOME of our customers. For them to service fail us on a customer with a drop window is plain stupidity.
And yeah, it's really pathetic that we have to sit there and figure out all of our ETA's up front before we even accept the load. What difference does it make if we set the ETA before we even leave the prior load? I have been setting my ETA to the consignee once I leave the shipper and deal with all of their delays so I can actually put in an accurate ETA one time, instead of putting a random guess in before even accepting a load that's barely accurate.
