just got back from my second stint in Okla. so far im lovin it. i go for 5 days and come home to Tx. for 3 days off. they pay for everything. im staying in a motel for now, word is they are building my skid house now. once the yard is in i move into it. they are hiring, for work in Okla, and Kansas. the number is 940-389-6089 Fred Roberson, the company is Stallion Production Services. so far its been a great company to work for. this guy knows all the details, he owns the Decatur Tx. yard.

You still hauling water? Get your own room or sharing? Guess Nabors, BTT, Coffman will pick up slack for you guys. Glad you are enjoying. Make sure to save some. It can turn off up there just as quick. :biggrin_25525:

ill be sharing the house with 5 other drivers. but they are single rooms. just share the kitchen. everything else is in the room. ya im puttin it away as we speak. i was haulin water, now im just haulin mud, and some fresh water. whatever the rig needs. most of our drivers went to BTT. guess they couldnt handle out of town. to each his own.

I got no experience with tankers but I had to get my X endorsement in 2004 to work for KBR over here in the sandbox. I do have over 7 years oversize and flat working for KBR and Hunt Transportation outa Omaha. I also have 10 yrs van but I really do not want to go that route. SOOOO how much RGN and flat work in the oil fields and/or do I stand a better chance trying to get a tanker gig. I leave the sandbox next week and I am looking to start around the 1st of june. Thanks for any help ans sorry if this has allready been addressed.

"oorah" flat work is plentiful if your dont mind being away from home. pipe is a going comodity as long as the rigs are drilling. theres also rig moves. youd have to get on with a company like tejas, or fowler if you want to do rig moves. pipe is hauled by just about everyone. thanks for what you do. i did mine 40 years ago.

It looks like some of the oil companies operating in Texas are desperate to get truck drivers no matter what. One of my old buddies just applied to 4 positions and got 2 offers even though his driving record was nowhere near impressive as he had 3 accidents in the last 2 years in addition to 2 speeding tickets. Many oil companies don't even bother to run DMV checks as they simply trust whatever an applicant puts in the application.

Has anyone heard of Skinner Trucking based in Austin? I spoke with a rep there today, said they have been hauling asphalt locally for a while and branched out in January to hauling crude, said their trucks were running out of Kennedy TX. Has anyone seen one of their trucks or spoke with any of their drivers? I am interested but am trying to find out some more info on them. Thanks in advance if anyone has any info.
