Students must team?

I've been here a few months, and I'm STILL spending 2-3 hours per day reading...

 

Does take significant time to get through some of these threads....

 

Coming in as a new driver. I am thankful that I am going to team with someone for that amount of time. I am not looking forward to being in a large closet with someone, but I want to learn as much as possible before I go out on my own.

My last profession was a trade and I have trained roughly 100 people. I never gave them enough and my company did not allow enough, money money money. It is a trade so it is dangerous, but most of the dangers are everyday common sense things. I can say that very few did not make it 6 months before making a huge mistake, costing the company money. I can only imagine what that mistake would cost a truck company, my guess is there would be a life involved.

Attitude is the most important thing to come to a company with, any company. They are strict here about training. To the tune of throwing you out of a class if you are not taking it seriously or are late. IMO that tells me something about a company.

As for the posts on their trucks being crap by a certain BM. I would say, just drop by the Campus Inn or their main facility down the road. It looks like a dealership lot to me. I have not even seen one dirty truck and I have been to the terminal as well.

 

This is probably for the 'politics' forum, but the economy won't improve until the president and most of congress are replaced with folks that are neither republican nor democrat.

 

Ive seen a couple of guys get sent HOME because they were consistantly late for class. Do that and youre showing them you dont care about being on time for appointments. Being on time is extremely important in this industry. Also being safe is important. Be safe, and be on time, and youll have a long career should you choose to stay.

Yes, I'd agree, but claiming to be a harda** by calling people out on an internet forum is kind of a joke.

 

You really can't qualify your statement until you meet the person. I have. If I am the guy that beat up Bad #####, U2 was next in line...
