I would say so, could have eaten the things before getting to the truck, thus prevented loss of perfectly good ding dongs. Just goes to show #### happens.

But seriously according to the gods of safety all accidents are preventable so if anything happens, they will find some reason you are in part to blame. Be it another route, parking in a better place, getting eyes implanted into the back of your head, taking mind reading course so you can tell what other people are thinking of doing. The trick is being alert, most trucking companies want all the lerts they can get.:biggrin_2559:

First off start paying attention.Four is way too many.Drivers have been doing this for yrs and they don't even have one.If it were me i'd call the company up first and tell them about it.Many companies don't start checking anything till you get to orientation. Why I don't know. Many get sent home and that company paid for your bus fare to orientation and thats just a waste of money if you get sent home. Also if by chance you do get disqualified, guess what, you'll probably have to find your own pay home.

I thought they were similar to Twinkies in chemical make-up, in that you basically can't destroy 'em....

Blow the water and slime off, and they're good to go!

Maybe it is a blessing in disguise. There are better things out there than driving OTR for a crappy company. I had a couple of tickets about five years ago that threatened my employment. I fought the one that was BS and won. Maybe if I wouldn't have won it would have been the kick in the pants I needed to find something better. Now I work for the railroad and make better money, have better benefits and a lot better home time. If I would have started five years earlier I would have more seniority and be making even better money and have better days off.

Would that be the old formula, or the new ones?

I used to eat both. But they taste like #### now.

Maybe it's because I'm new at driving a Big Truck but I do not see how ya guys eat and drive!

I have to do one or the other. Not both. Actually I don't even like doing it.
It's funny that "they" say ya can't be on the phone and drive because it's "distracted driving". Well, so is the GPS, CB Radio, and definitely eating. Especially if you go for the BK Whopper. My weakness.
