Ok thanks again for straight answers. As a solo driver what would you say is a good time out/time home average?

I took a job at a truck driving school because I thought I could HELP but the school would only let me teach them to pass the test. In had plenty of money and it was an accr. course but I was not allowed to teach them anything I'm an old timer that was taught by my Dad. They wouldn't even let me teach them how to shift let alone back I was sneaking it in but it was really hard to do so I feel for you. I'm out there to always help someone new or old everyone can use help at one time or another. When I run a crew on the job I always try to match my drivers with the right operator many of time I sent the boss away (I'd say things like I hear the fishing good today) if he tired to move my drivers around and off he'd go looking for those fish and my people would be happy again.

Forgot to tell you each time I was hired as a driver but they found out soon that I could run the crew and have both drivers and operators happy even have ran FEMA crews and yes I'm Female I just think happy people are going to do a much better job, then pissed people. I only ever lost 2 people 1 was cheating on his time card and the other just wasn't going to work under a female lost him before the day was out never even got to see what he could do.

I'm guessing that's how your average driver would think. Me personally took it as a vacation and enjoyed the 2 weeks off lol. I'm back to work now so all is good.

You mean bills like having a wife and two kids cars and a home? Or do you mean like sending money to my wife's fam every month because they are from the philippines and don't have much of nothing? if anything I should be worse off lol. I might be 27 and a newb to trucking but I've been married for 7 years and have a 9 and 6 year old daughter. I got a lot to learn but doesn't look like I'm the only one :)
