Rand McNally intelliRoute TND 500

bought a 510 last week and am enjoying it. I have to figure out how to keep the display on home time. Lots of good features and worked well out of the box. "Speed warning" hasn't worn out yet LOL

 

Once in route, click on Map screen, upper right - click on that icon to get your time options.

Did you try the screen alignment? Preferences/device tab/3rd screen down

 

Just a quick update. The new710 is working perfectly. Have 6,000 miles on the new unit & I have not gotten lost once. I love it.

 

May you explain how to align the screen.

I've had my refurbed 500 for a few days now.

My initial impressions: Very easy to learn. And I"m a guy who reads the instructions only as a last resort! Just paying around with it some and it's ready, with the settings I want.

Couple of little things I wish were different, but they're really along the line of personal preferences, nothing techinical.

So far (and it is early), I feel like my $140 investment will get me everything I need.

The, uh, 500 was a completely different GPS. It was like the beta version.

 

Just bought the TND 710. So far so good. What kind of extras do you get if you way? Weather/traffic alert? If anyone knows, let me know. Thanx!
