I got my certification in 1973, as a licenced HD mechanic. and have seen hundreds of these things, as soon as you say put it on a dyno, it is not rocket science, an electronic engine can be set up to an exact amount of throttle position. Or you could just install the device in the fuel line with two ball valves to include it or isolate it.
Put the truck on the dyno for 10 minutes, to normalise everything then open the valves the speed should increase, or if you put it on cruise, the percentage of throttle should go down.
My personal favorite was the guy that packaged Cow magnets. and people swore they worked he bought them for a nickle and sold them in a package for $2.00.

I think I suggested that way back up somewhere, but you can guess how far it went.

As I have repeated my self over and over, we have dyno tests by mustang cat in Houston and Grande Ford in San Antonio that did the dynos and on the website is a Dyno by a Holland Diesel tractor that all showed improvements. Nay-Sayers have excuses for all of these as well. Now go to www.ecosudamerica.com our South American Distributors and they have all types of tests that show emissions reductions and fuel savings tests as well.
Now when we ask for the ECM report from the engine nobody wants to show that? Or why don't we just do emissions test on the vehicles to show the reduction in HC, CO, and NOx?
I am not afraid of Dyno tests. These are only as good as the person doing them.We will both have to agree on the testing facility, I will supply the unit and we will be present for the test. Hammer You put up the money for the entire testing Before and after since you are asking for another test. We use a truck from a Nuetral O/O with no mods and if we show 0 improvement I will pay for the test. If we show improvement the cost is all yours. We both have to approve the testing protocol as well.

Look the energy stored in your Diesel is chemical.
The more efficiently this can be converted to Kinetic energy , that is the moving of your truck the better your mpg.
By lowering the losses that soak up this energy in other forms the better.
The first stage is converting the "chemically stored energy" in to thermal energy in the combustion process.
This is where the ecotaz claims its gains are made.
It matters not weather this system works or not.
I was just pointing out why any gain would be less by % on a truck where a larger portion of the chemical energy contained in the diesel was already being used to propel the truck.
Simple logic if you consider the actual overall gain being the same divided by the greater denominator of the more efficient truck.
The result will obviously then be a smaller by percentage.

Think of it this way , 2 10th's gain in mpg on a 4,5mpg truck is more % gain than a 2 10th's gain on a 9 mpg truck.

I can't believe we are wanting to give up my testing after only 17 days in April because the weather is starting to turn better with a little cold snap in April that was colder than the March we had this year that was more like May and April so far has been more like March would have normally been.

Let's get back to being Professional with the latest test results with another Dedicated Run that even talked to Hans (local EcoTaz dealer) on the phone about coming out to see the Ecotaz on my truck and witness my fill up, but 3 am was a little too early for him. Good guy and I was really wanting him to make sure I did not cut pump off early like was mentioned in a previous post that makes no sense at all because it would help make the EcoTaz look better than it really is and I wanted him to see I was not pouring fuel out on the ground so he can see the EcoTaz is not making extra fuel I have to waste somewhere......think about it!

This Dedicated run is pretty much another typical run and compares to the others in the past I have done driving at the same speed taking the same route with no idling. The weather is getting warmer to start getting better fuel mileage and hopefully near the end of this month we will start getting summer blend fuel at the pumps to help also.

This run included since I installed the EcoTaz Eco-5 has my running average since April 1st at 9.15 mpg that is right with my 1st quarter average. I still can not notice any difference in performance and fuel economy driving, but that does not mean there is not a gain too small to measure. More testing needs to be done to determine this.

Can we please keep the name calling and lying accusations down until my testing is done and let's at least get 30 days in before we make this call and maybe 60 days on the truck before or if it is removed. Then maybe we can check the 60 days after we take it off to keep this test on this thread maybe until the end of July.

I would be crazy to not want a device that would actually improve my fuel mileage 1/10th or even 1/2 mpg, if it works I want to keep it to help my bottom line and would be stupid to not want to make more money. It is crazy to suggest anything different.

We are all freinds here and let's keep it civil and professional.

    Thank you!

Note: Pump price $506.00, NASTC price $ 490.62 for a savings of $15.38 this fill up.

WOW...sorry to hear yours is not working either.

I would have never of thought both of us would not have any gain in fuel mileage???

Maybe we got a bad batch of them off the assembly line that don't work???

Maybe Ben can check others when ours was made to see if they stopped working too???

There has to be a reason 2 of the latest ones installrd are not showing gains in fuel mileage compared to the 3 or 4 that have posted here in the past????

But Oscar's truck is in the 5 mpg range????

    So much for that theory.....
