turbos are an easy fix....your lucky...my turbo had a catastrophic failure....all the vanes were gone...and they ruined the engine cylinders....

Both my Columbia's drink oil as stated. Wastegate seized on one, this truck recently spits and spudders and smokes. Turbo goes might as well get out and push has the same effect.

Just told me some of the vanes may have gone into the engine. Causing it to buck after a certain rpm. They said the valves may have been knocked out of adjustment from the metal chunks.

What I'm wondering is marshfield looked this truck over every inch before I got it and.didn't find the Turbo problem.... I'm assuming it happened afterward

I would think just a bad apple out of the bunch. I'm assuming the truck was brand new or close to it. I personally thinking if it was they just logo'd it and check fluids, maybe went for a drive and wash. The position your in sucks hope it works out

Thanks. Yeah the truck was already logo'd and everything. I just got a faded hood. It has 168,000 miles on it. If they decide to send it to a dealer then ill most likely just take it to the dealer by my house and have the warranty work done there while I'm on home time.

Also to add, when they looked it over at marshfield I saw them replacing all the head gaskets and everything else. So idk, hopefully I get home soon. Thursday night is all you can drink draft and well liquor for $10. After this trip out I need it lol

When my wastegate seized they had me go to a shop to temporarily get it to stay open. Once that happened I was under a load, only had boost in 7-10 gears. Got it to j-ville and had to deliver b4 I dropped the still hurt truck at the yard. When I slipped back it was fixed. I would think a dealer or terminal which ever is close is where the truck will go depending on the tow bill BC I would assume it doesn't drive. If they have another Turbo at a terminal then they'll go that route rather than the dealer. From my experience at least.

I think most of the turbo problems on the old trucks is from Roehl wanting us to shut down the truck without letting the truck idle to bring down the turbo temp....without letting the turbo temp come down its going to warp the shaft and possibly destroy some fins...just sayin...

I hear ya. Well its drive able. I drove it from Oklahoma to here with it bucking and losing power, also no speedometer. Still working on that issue too. It just sucks having to sit. I'm hoping they just fix it here. I gotta leave tomorrow so hopefully they decide on what they gotta do.

Lol my GPS doesn't show my speed. Had to use my tach to measure my speed.
