Schneider runs a lot of dedicated lanes out of the Sturtevant drop lot, might be a good fit and I'm sure they could find you something that will get you home daily. I leased to SNI for almost 5 years and I enjoyed it. i did Wal-Mart Dedicated out of Aubrun, IN till Werner outbid us, then I switched to Truck Rail and did that till SNI booted all us O/O out the door and onto the Choice Program. I liked it, but didn't get home too much so I found a job somewhere else that gets me a 4/3 schedule, but I would not hesitate going back. Good place!!!

For the life of me, that makes no sense at all. OTR driving is typically interstate driving which is the easiest of all. City driving takes the most skill and where all the stress is. Why in the world wold a trucking company not give credit to an drier that bumps 15 to 20 docks in a single day?

Every company is different about how local driving counts towards recent experience. Generally I've found that as long as its a Semi with equipment similar to what your prospective company runs then you are ok or at the worst have to go out a few times with the trainer to make sure you can drive.

I ran the Wal-Mart dedicated out of Henderson, NC for a year with SNI. I liked the company and did ok with them. I just couldn't take the constant night driving so moved to a different company where I'm home 4-5 nights during the week and have every weekend off. SNI was a good company in my opinion, at least among the major carriers and if I wanted to go back out over the road they would be at the top of my list. No hesitation in recommending them and have done so to drivers several times after I left last year.

Hey Snowman can you tell me what your pay was like I am used to night driving actually I prefer it especially when dealing with shopping centers like wal mart less city traffic and hassles at night, the best time to do multi stops with retailers. How did you like the home time I will be moving to raleigh nc so this really looks good to me. I want to run the 5 on and two off

I'm in Raleigh, not sure if Schneider still has that account or not. USX is advertising heavily here for the Wal Mart in Henderson. Ad says home every day and two days off per week, they also claim $850 per week.

My time with NFI was short lived I was fired about a week ago after a preventable accident. No injuries just property damage. I hit one of our trailers at a customer and collapsed the gear.:biggrin_25513:

I use to be on that account, teaming out of denver. Did that for about 8-9 months, but the team driving/sleeping while moving got to me. So I switched to OTR solo. I was home pretty much everyday for 30min-1hr and after the last drop/unload on friday - sometime around noon - 4pm. Didn't leave Sunday till 6pm-9pm usually. It's a good account, you'll be doing the same thing everyday and every week. Sometimes you'll get a load of Coors or pallets or grain going back to KS but lots of times you'll be going back empty.

PM me if you have any questions.
