Hey Paul, if you are looking to haul crude now would be a good time to apply. Not sure if you have your heart set on Midland, but the hiring is good down here between San Antonio, Victoria, and Corpus Christi. I live in Victoria about 7 miles from our yard. We don't drive out to well sites, we unload from tanks at a couple of sites then run to 1 of 4 locations to unload, usually at a port in Victoria, Port Comfort, or Corpus Christi. Hope all is well with you and thanks for the update on your experience.

Hey guys I drive a vac truck out here in California. 3 axle bobtail tanker gvw 70k. Thinking of moving to corpus with the lady when I have a year of experience. Are jobs there as easy to come by as West TX?

So how big does a credit report figure into getting hired at a major oilfield service company? My credit score is not so great after different attempts at new training and failed businesses..

    btw, clean MVR.

A clean MVR is like gold. I don't see where a low credit score would affect you. Unless you filed bankruptcy or relly welched on a loan or major purchase

So it sounds like you are saying, if you did file bankruptcy that would be a problem. I too have owned a business, I did what I once thought unthinkable, file for bankruptcy.

Can you give any details about how much that might effect a job opportunity.
