As an ex-Iron Worker, I know for fact, getting around urine tests is NOT a myth. Ask anyone on this forum who used to be in the construction industry. There are several tactics, products, and other ways to get around a urine test.. I've seen a lot of them work, countless times. I would make a good guess that probably 65% of Iron Workers, are on some sort of drug. I've watched guys pound a handful of pills the day of a random. I also had a buddy, when I was younger, smoke a joint 5 minutes before meeting with his Probation Officer, and pass. HE was so skinny, he hardly had any fat percentage, and thats exactly where THC stores itself.
I am not condoning drug use at all, nor do I use drugs. My career and supporting my family is way to important for that. But if I smoke a joint Friday night, it has ABSOLUTELY no affect on me Monday morning.. I also know that for a fact, because I had a wild teenage life lol. But like I said, I understand they can't pin point a time with a urine test, and understand the need for the test itself.

We all know why the people mentioned by the OP ask the question about drug tests... because they're dirty and know it, they know that they can't pass a urinalysis let alone a hair test. And what's worse, many of them hope to hide their drug use while driving a CMV.

If you can get a doctor to sign off on any drug that's legal to prescribed except marijuana or others spelled out in the FMCSR's then you are legal to drive. Or I should say I have not found anywhere that says different. That's the whole point, having a doctor sign off on it. The FMCSA just passed the buck onto doctors and the risk is with them and the driver. But I would say more with the doctor. The list that everyone refers to is referenced from §392.4 (1) and is 21 CFR 1308.11.

I am just saying, how I feel. I understand it is illegal, and if caught, you would lose your job. Pot is not a drug in my eyes, and it should be legal.
Cigarettes and Alcohol kill more people in a day, than pot ever has. period. In an hour. In a minute. lol. -
