I was wondering the same thing but after following these Prime threads, I have come to the conclusion that to GO PRIME is best. First, they only charge you $3,500 with NO INTEREST! A lot less than many schools, even a Voc Tech. If you drive for them for one full year, then you owe NOTHING! You're going to have to do that anyway to be able to make more or move on to local/regional jobs.

For all the other "training" companies, Prime seems to have the best deal going.

ORD will tell you the same I'm going to. Getting your permit in CO before you go is better. Some states are now requiring a medical card before issuing permits. If you can afford the physical, fine. Otherwise, hang on to your $$, and get your permit in MO. You WILL get another physical the first day of orientation, whether you think you need one or not.

I do recommend that you study your behinder off in the mean time.

No, Prime doesnt CHARGE you anything at all, "UNLESS YOU QUIT". You complete a year and it is FREE, no payback no nothing. FREE PERIOD. It has certainly been the best choice for me, they have done absolutely everything they told me they would do. Got NO complaints at all:biggrin_25525:

DTB is correct. If you can get it before you come, DO IT. It makes life easier. Going through the full program is best. You get real world experience with the real job. Also... PRIME DOESNT CHARGE FOR TRAINING!!! unless you quit before a years up...

Guess what? Got off the phone with the recruiter (Tiffany) and she told me everything is looking solid on my application (Had to patch it up because I forgot about a job I worked in 2010) If all goes well I should be getting a call come the end of the week, telling me to come on up to Spring, Mo. I'm not gonna dillydally either first chance I get I'm out of here.

Tell me about the duckwalk, I'm fairly chunky and have screws in my hip and femur but I can climb into and out of a truck with ease, how low must one squat downlow and how far must one walk. If it's only to say check axles and 5th wheel I can't imagine that far, my wife said I was not getting low enough. is this the desired looking effect? It's my understanding that Prime will deduct money from your weekly for training. Am I wrong? If not, Prime looks even better!
