well here in my state the LEO's will take urine and a blood test the THC stays in your blood for up to 4 hours..so if there is no THC in your blood but it shows in your urine the charge is DUI due to THC metabilites in urine...and it will hold up in court...

I agree with the several posters who said drugs should be legal. It is obvious the crime associated with drugs is more problematic than the drugs are. I also believe the govt needs to get out of the business of trying to legislate morality. Having said that though, there are many careers where drugs, even if legalized, shouldn't be used. At all. And this is one. And even if the govt where to make them legal, they would not stop companies from requiring you to stay clean and pass a test as a condition of employment. So if they where legal, there still wouldn't be anywhere worth working who condoned them. Whisky is legal, bit I don't know anywhere you could come to work under the influence and keep your job.

I dont think all drugs should be legal but I do think weed should be (IE: its a the safest drug) I dont do drugs or drink alcohol...But If im driving down the road at 2am I would rather have the oncoming car be a bunch of stoners and not drunks... And if Im out seeing a live band at a club I hate drunk peeps they act like tards that wanna fight.. I would rather be around stoners they just wanna laugh and eat... so I think alcohol should be illegal and weed should be legal......just sayn

Drugs and drinking don't mesh in the trucking industry. You can't have both. Simple rule: Dont do it.

    Drunk and stoner fighting:

    Drunk: "MF'er, I'm gonna kick your ***"

Stoner: "Dude, when we're done here, can we go to Denny's?"

To those who say drug tests can be cheated I have one question. Why do so many fail drug tests? I have heard of many ways and was told by TESTERS they DO NOT WORK.

I bet 3 people cheat to every 1 person that fails.

Of course not. And there's no way anyone can ever beat a lie detector test because they are infallible and imbued with god like powers (choir of monks singing). People fail drug tests because they are dumb, or on so called "legal" drugs, or just because your urine is diluted from drinking too much soda (I drink too much soda). I've watched friends of mine get high as a kite, go in for a urine test, and pass with flying colors. Meanwhile, I fail tests due to diluted results or because of protein being detected (which the doctor they send me to says is perfectly normal, which says something about the "doctors" who administer these tests) and I haven't smoked a blunt since I was 17.
