Anyone done dyno runs before and after the magic molecule cracker tube to prove whether or not it really restricts maximum fuel flow and put this scam artist to rest?

Why would a few inches of copper have a different effect than the several feet of steel braiding in my fuel lines?

Is the copper blessed by a voodoo priestess at the manufacturing facility?

Why couldn't I jam a coil of copper into a pipe nipple myself?

Why are there no drawings of cracked molecules on the website to make our eyes glaze over even faster?

I have a new fuel economizer for sale. It is a tube filled with rare earth which positively negativizes the 3rd core carbon atoms resulting in a balsphtemizing occurance between the 1st and 2nd core carbon atoms multiplying energy at least 5 times. Please stay tuned for initial release of this revolutionary new fuel saving product. Testing is under way.

In my opinion, only way to really test this is with true placebo test groups.

First, install this device on a fleet of trucks but do not tell the fleet drivers about it.

Other group, tell a fleet it has been installed but put a "placebo" tube on the trucks instead of the "real" device.

I think results would be surprising. If you tell a driver a new fuel saving device has been installed on his truck, he will automatically drive better and gain some mpg.

Just for the record Ben, I don't get what the big deal is about you wanting Dice to "show me the ECM report on your fuel mileage". Aside from the fact that I never shared mine - ECM fuel mileage is a notoriously bad way to check mpg's on any vehicle (be it a car or big truck) they are wildly inaccurate one way or another and can't be trusted. The only way to know true fuel mileage is to - top the tanks off every time and calculating what the tripodometer says versus gallons put in - over several months period so you can mitigate the fact that no two fuel islands are at the same gradient, etc... That's the only way to get an accurate fuel mileage figure on any vehicle. ECM's are not to be trusted...

Can't these newer ECMs show percentage of time at given throttle position, and that sort of detail?

Thank you and that is the point I was trying to get Ben to understand.

    Hammer,

Yes they do show that stuff but I'm talking about the mpg report only. I'm basing this off my '07 Ram 5.9L turbo diesel, the overhead console mpg is wildly innacurate and wrong, always... ...even in stock form before tuning it. The same goes for CAT ID. Aren't those based off the ECM or is that wrong? Besides that doesn't, the ECM just calculate or guess at how much fuel the engine is burning? How does that work exactly? And doesn't some of the fuel return back to the tanks without even burning?

But not a 98 model year truck and motor.

The best way to check MPGs is the odometer reading miles divided by the gallons of fuel used. Doesn't get any more simplier or accurate than that.

Oh, I agree with that Dice. You notice how quickly he didn't want his tester's ECM before and afters out there to be looked at...

I said this awhile back, and it just gets truer and truer, this thread is a study in the psychology of selling. It's quite amusing once you see his tactics for what they are!:biggrin_2559:

I know you fellows are the experts here. I just get my advise from the shop foremen at Caterpillar who said that the ecmwill tell the average speed driven. This is just to make sure dice isn't driving faster now than before. They also advised me that cat has a program that you connect to the ECM to show fuel usage at certain speeds. For example at 57 mph. I believe we did one of those tests with a Cat engine and is on the website.at www.etieco.com. Of course what would these guys know. They only make a living working on Cat engines.

Sometimes what engineers, machinists, or mechanics can show you on a computer screen or in the shop - that doesn't always mean much in the real world. Mpg reports on ECM's are, from my real world experience, not trustworthy. Now the average speed report is likely a different animal that's just information from the speed sensor, pretty cut and clear there.
