Last week I got 2700 miles with a 40 hour break in. Since thursday I got 1050 miles picking up right now n jersey with another pp waiting after I drop this off I'n Michigan. I'm getting the miles but right now my schedule sucks lol. I've been waking up by 10pm and stopping around 10am.

Actually just looked, and part of that gross included my 1700 dollar vacation pay. Was thinking that my gross was way to high to have missed all those days.
Harley you would make more if you stayed out 3 weeks. You get short runs because your fleet manager knows you are going to be wanting to get back home the next week. Yes I have had the 400 mil runs 2 matter of fact I had one last night, and it delivered the next morning. Took them all day to get me this pp. Doesn't pick up till tmrw. Delivers early monday morning.
Your fleet manger doesn't have confidence in you. I got my load out of nyc it was 592miles loaded and 32 dh and delivered next day. I had to call reciever to ask them to stay open for another 10mins. When your fm know you will get the job done. They will run you. Even when they know you can get the job done. Sometimes there are no loads. Its trucking it happens. I was MT at 8am est that's 6am mountain time and dispatcher doesn't get to office till 7:30am. I didn't bug her. I knew they knew I was empty, and then about 3:20pm est I got my load that doesn't pick up till 14:00 tmrw. I'll get layover, plus dh miles.
We are not the only company out here. Everybody is fighting over loads. Normally the lowest bidder gets the load. I was PP the other day 30 mins b4 I got to my drop, but a couple hr's later load cancelled. So I set that day. You have good weeks when everything works, and you have bad weeks when nothing works. This is not a very good week for me especially since we are going to weekly pay. I have to get all the miles I can by midnight Wednesday. Plus my truck fixed, and one of the reasons I am probably not getting pp is because I need to get back by the house b4 the end of the month. -

Don't know about you but when I did work for JBS it was the average for 2 weeks was 2000 miles. Let's talk about trucker stories. Yes I have had a 1800, 2000 mile week but that's in a week not 2. Also that carry over was a 900 mile run. If anyone asks me a question on the FRE thread I tell then the truth. Adk anyone on there or anyone onthe road with then now that works for them. They will say the same. Also with the recruiter part, I don't make a dime for getting drivers for FRE unless they put me on there paper work. I don't ask for them to or request it. I am a driver like them and don't see them as a money maker and will not use them as such. An old school and feel that every driver should back each other not screw them over.Jack&Jill Logistics Thanks this. -

Nobody's bragging. I said what my statement said. Since I don't even keep track of miles. I also stated I took 4 days off for the reason I had 3481 miles. Read it all then try to pick it apart.
I was not referring to you doing a driver recruiting scam. I was referring to this forum. When people get on here especially this one at the beginning saying they were getting 3 and 4thousand miles a week when the pay period ended. A lot of people bought into their lie. That's why they didn't last long. This company hasn't changed since I been here. Different people coming and going same company.
I'm still here because they said 2500 miles a week and that's what I pretty much get. Give or take depending on the season, and where i'm delivering. Location location is the name of the game.
LOL Daniel just stop trying to throw in your little shots dude. nobody is getting 2,000 miles in 2 weeks. Unless you were broke down, hometime, or just flat out rejecting loads. Or you don't know how to turn in your paperwork b4 cut off. I'm sure you are a smart man, but again 2,000 miles in 2 weeks dude that is as funny as Ten Man saying he has insurance better then JBS. Let me laughhhh my self to sleep. Weee heeee.. -
I started following the JBS threads as a plan B, if I needed it. I'm from Denver...Jack&Jill Logistics Thanks this. -
Same here Iron Pony. I treat my job as a business. My dispatcher is my broker. If phone calls need to be made to shippers or receivers I do it. If I can't make appts. I do it. Sometimes you get incomplete info from broker. I look up address if possible on Google.
I know we hire students, but if you can get in the habit of doing things for yourself. You can be happy here. Some weeks you run out of your 34 in 6 days, some you might not have to do a 34 in 2 weeks.
Hauling Perishable products is hard to Pre plan, because most of the places we go take their time loading or off loading. 1st come 1 serve.. If you drove a dry box in which most is drop and hook. You can expect PP all the time, but on this side of the industry. The planner has to make sure you are going to a place that doesn't take all day to unload, because if they don't they will be having to give the load back to the broker, and he may not have time to find another driver to put on it. You do that too many times. The broker doesn't want to use you.
At my previous company. We hauled a lot of prime brokered freight out of the North East. I have even heard Prime saved CR England from going bankrupt. Its a pretty strong company. I remember when It was slow a few years ago. My company who uses you guys was like even Prime is sitting. So I know you guys have freight and they can keep you moving.
Like you when I first came on this forum. I was ready to quit, then I went to the companies I was thinking about. You know the ones who have all the big cpm on the back of trailer, and found out that little sign didn't mention the fact you would have to unload your trailer, and that also included fuel bonus, and safety bonus etc if you qualified for it. So I just hunkered down here. I can't stand job hopping you have to take the good with the bad, but some only want it their way, and are never happy with any job they go too. So you guys have a great weekend. I'm going to see if I can't get this chicken loaded.
