I still don't see how hot fuel can cool an ECM. My fuel is always very warm and when I take the cap off the tank u can not only feel the heat but also see the steam in the winter time. I'm guessing it is from the return line pumping the hot fuel back into the tanks.

I went to a trucking class a couple of years ago, met a bunch of nice people. Saw one of them at the fuel island several months later and was watching where he was gonna park and go shoot the ####. I noticed he fueled the truck, went in and got a receipt. Then instead of going and parking like I expected, he again fueled the truck, went inside and came out with a receipt. This is a guy with very high fuel mileage that tells everyone he has receipts to prove it. No it's not Dice. Just sharing that story to explain why someone would want to see an ECM report. I had a 98 pete and the ECM held lots of data pertaining to both speed and fuel use and even how many times you stepped on the brake pedal if I remember correctly. I would like to point out Dice's MPG is up .12 MPG and would love to see him continue the test. Yes, I know it's within the margin of error, but at 9 MPG I would think a 10th is #### hard to gain. Please quit the stupid bickering. And what the hell happened to all the other testers? Haven't seen mpg from them forever, are your MPG up, down or sideways???? I honestly don't see how the thing could work either. If it's the placebo effect I think everyone would have reverted to their old driving style by now, wouldn't they? So how about some current mpg's

Hot fuel is likely to be about 150-170 degrees. It's warmed by the coolant or simply the fuel running in the fuel rails in the pump/engine block.. Some trucks even have a feel heater in the tanks you can turn on /off. My trucks have in the past anyway.

Depending on the electronics, you would need something to keep them cool. Those CPU's can get rather hot and heat kills them.

250+ degrees is a lot warmer than fuel at 150-170.

I guess 100 deg fuel would cool the ECM if it was getting to 150 deg or more.

As I stated, I've had too many variables change on me in the past few months. My avg right now is at 5.7mpg. Some days I get as high as 6.5 and been as low as 3.9 with a bad headwind. My test is basically useless now

I wonder if that high fuel mileage driver ever posted his IFTA and has been thru an IFTA audit?

My fuel mileage is up because I pulled 2 empty tankers and have yet to pull one oversize load this month, but that might change next week with the possibility of working in 2 real short OS runs in GA that is going to mess up my last 2 dedicated runs for the month next week. My customers come first and no fuel tube testing is going to mess that up. My dedicated runs with EcoTaz this month are right about the same as they were the first quarter. No change.

That is a good question to what happen to all the testers that got free tubes?

Lots of changes for me. New drives, new turbo, running a lot of crazy stuff. MPGs from low of 4.7 with a lot of wind to a high of over 7.8.

Driver in my town was s crewing with me and removed it. I was pissed. I stopped 5x on that load trying to figure out what was wrong because of loss of power. And it was raining so I was pissed when I figured out what had happened.

Go back several pages and you will see that after I installed the eco I lost .395 mpg. I will continue to run the eco for another week after this week, if my mileage continues to stay low I will remove it and run for two weeks. If my mileage goes back up at the end of those two weeks the eco will not go back on, but back in the box it came in.

To be fair and honest I don't see how the eco could cause a loss in fuel mileage, but an accert is very fussy when it comes to fuel delivery. If after it is removed and my mileage does not go back up then I will need to go see the cat shop to find out if there is a mechanical or electrical problem. There are no codes currently and the engine runs and pulls the same as it did before the eco was installed.

If Ben and hammer decide to do some dyno testing I hope your truck is one of several that the test can be done with. Not trying to be negative Bill but you are the only one I can recall that has commented on the power increase.

Bill, do you have a good fuel pressure gauge?

I am curious to if your power gain is from the stabilizing the fuel pressure under a full throttle load that is if you don't have a FASS or Air Dog booster pumps?

Like I said earlier it got rid of a minor fuel pressure fluctuation when we moved it near the injector rail.

What turbo did you go to? an upgrade or just replacement?
