well that your problem! HLK (if i remember right is the southern Cali dispach right?) if so shes well....useless IMO. And SH2 when he was in conover was great, but i donno about out west since NW freight sucks. But where you are now is a horrible place to be for Watkins. But at least your at a good truck stop. If you dont already have a AmBest card go in and get one, it comes with 4 free showers on it.
Start bugging dispatch once you get moving again to send you east, and try to stay out east until you wanna go home.

Finished my eight week program [300 hours] at CDT in West Babylon, NY, took and passed my road test this morning and now I am leaving for North Carolina where I will start orientation for W&S on Monday. Looking forward to the experience. Read great things, especially about the trainer, Tim. Thanks for this blog. I am considering starting one with my experiences.

In the first week at Conover, NC, with trainers RL and Matt, already learned more than I did in 8 weeks of CDL school. Also had about four times the amount of time behind the wheel! These guys are great teachers! Everyone is helpful and nice. Met a lot of Drivers and they are ALL positive and happy. This was the right decision. Drove up and over Black Mountain. Three runaway lanes within 5 miles on this downgrade. Great experience! One more week then a flight home for Mother's Day then I get my truck and hit the road!

I am 2 weeks from graduation at Western Pacific truck school in Modesto, Ca, and have already been approved by W/S for hire after graduation. Looks like a good company. Can't wait to get started.
My other option is hauling almonds 7 days per week, 14 hours per day...for less money. The W/S gig looks a lot better.
