Between sammons and internet truck stop there is alot of loads to choose from.

i haven't left missoula yet, yesterday the truck was in the shop tracing down a short that took all day and then lastnight (first night in the truck) i found a coolant leak in the bunk heating unit, so today that got fixed and found a broken leaf spring, and the ubolts and to be made or special ordered from volvo go figure. anyways im glad to be getting these fixed upfront, and sammons covers the truck for the first 30 days so it is all on them

What is the warranty like on the truck?? Did they just have the Volvo to choose from or were you able to choose a KW or Pete??

KH they have 1 T600 and 1 T660 and several Prostars, and 2 volvo's , the factory warranty on most are expired. a couple of the prostars had fresh inframes but a truck needing an inframe at 350-400k didn't set well with me plus the sleepers in the prostar were boring at best.

as for the warranty sammons covers everything for 30 days, they don't nit pick about it.. If it's broke or not working they fix it period, which is good considering the truck needed some pricey work but is all good now

My truck has 382k on it and the engine warranty was up at 350k and the engine and trans are 500k

i bounced home for the weekend and am loading block on monday,

Please keep us posted, I would really like to hear more about this company and the type of money that there is to be made. Would love to get back in to flat bedding and choosing from a load board, so I look forward to hearing more about your adventures.

Yeah it sounds good I'm pulling flat bed now for Jeff Foster and just keep thinking I want to do this as a o.o instead of a company driver. If I'm going to be out weeks at a time why not

the volvo has a 77" sleeper and and work station ( booth with table ) that makes into a bunk plus the upper bunk. easier when my son goes with me
also has a built in fridge. and is set up for shore power and more leg room for driver ( i'm 6'4)

running gear is cummins ISX in both and the volvo has 13 speed and the volvo rides better and is more quite inside.

    those are the main reasons.
