They are looking for drivers in Texas to do regional around Dallas. I guess you have to live between Tyler and Dallas and a bit south of Dallas to qualify. They say you would be driving within 500 miles of Dallas and get paid Midwest Regional pay.

Not open to O/O. Pay for company driver is 2 cents less than current wage. They put out a announcement on voice mail a few weeks ago. Looking to start with 6 drivers. Not much else is being said. Sounds like it will be a work in progress.

You know I'll never understand why you get paid less for Regional. Regional drivers run harder than national because they blast through your hours and you go home loaded for usually just a reset. Most days running out your 14. In truth you should be paid higher on regional. I guess companies figure since you get "home weekly" they are doing you a favor.notezbngrn71 and childerscarl1 Thank this.

Yep team roehl uses the same thinking for dedicated runs also.
They say you won't miss the two cents due to all the miles you will be
Getting. Sorry I call BS ! I WILL MISS THAT TWO CENTS !
Run hard and do a reset at home, been there done that.
That's why I'm on the hometime fleet, make some money and enjoy time at home.

In phoenix. Hotel is nice, of course no smoking room, oh well. Hoppefully all goes well over the next week. ROEHL SEEMS LIKE A good company to work for and it fits in my plans for current and further down the road when we move back to northern Mississippi. Since they have a drop yard west memphis. It would'nt be far.

Week one done. DSE's done and good to go. Orientation has been great. Instructors are great and both are pretty funny and laid back. I can honestly say that I have learned more about driving then I did in cdl school and aweek out with prime for 6000 miles. Just a couple of more days then probably will have to go to Gary or marshfield to meet up with a trainer
Zoltan1a Thanks this. -
They have trainers that run out of Phoenix. Two guys I went through trainer training with were based out of Phoenix.
-
They do but may not have one available. Should find out Monday for sure. They said there's not many trainers out this way
