Get rehired, get current experience, tolerate their cra p get qualified to go elsewhere.
You will need to learn some patience. I got pissed because of having to hunt empty trailers way too much. Stupid planners had problems with finding them. -

no just at a better place in life and understand stuff will happen and i will have to deal with it

So, why did you quit?
In another thread that you started you said it was because you had trouble getting home on time, and in this one it is because you have to wait a few hours for loads.
I have a daughter that does the same thing.
Her story is never the same from one minute to the next. -
they had me sitting all day wating for a load when i should of been on my way home

My bs-o-meter is pegged and noisy.
I think the real question is not whether Swift will take you back (yes, school and 240 hours with a mentor unless you have OTR experience for the last 2 years) but what have you learned? Basics like self control, patience and maturity? There is a natural weeding process in this work. Those who go to the effort to learn the system so they can work the system are more content than those who know only frustration over the unanswered, "Why me?", question. What have you changed as far as your tolerance for what is a way of life as much as it is a job?
Frankdriver79 Thanks this. -
I have sat several days waiting for a load, simply because freight was slow in the area.
The day before my last home time I was told that I had to be in Phoenix inside of 5 days to trade my truck, so I had a whole 1 day at home after 4 weeks out.
It was another 2 weeks before I finally got my real home time.
It's part of the job.
And if your attitude is the same as the last time, I expect you won't last very long this time either. -
Oh boy all I see here is a few guys jumping all over this guy instead of giving him help...You dont know anything about this guy or what he went thru..Everyone's entitled to make a mistake every now and then,right...He doesnt seem like he has a bad attitude...Everyone knows that hometime never happens automatically and if you dont stay on them, they'll forget all about it...that's for sure..We don't need anymore comments that belittle someone who's trying to reach out for help either...that's just rude.......I think that you won't have a problem going back to them and hopefully you stick it out this time and make it for the better..Good luck bud.
driver79, inkeper, scottied67 and 2 others Thank this.
