In all of the trucks I have driven the Cummins so far has been the most reliable, but the newest that I have driven was in a 2007 Pete 387. Do you have any suggestions for a better engine?

Here's a question for you.
Does the latest model Pete (with MX engine) use CAN communacation lines, just like it's European cousin?
If so,are they the same as it's EU cousins?
The MX engine running in the USA,is it a common rail? -
Peterbilt used to make an all canvas hat black with under side of bill green with a true peterbilt oval patch on it not embroidered ........ had worn a hundred of them...... bring them back or sell me a hidden box of them
THANKS!!!!! -
Some of the 07-10 product ran great but I would do my research and ask for a warranty history on engines produced during this time frame before buying. -
I have one of our parts guys working on this. Stay tuned and sorry for the extended delay in getting back to you.

I want to put LED bulbs in the front on my 388 for turn/clearance instead of the regular amber bulbs. Will you need to put in resistors, relays or anything?

Just bought a '14 386 with 550 cummins. On the top digital readout, I am getting an x displayed right above where the cruise speed readout is located. Its not always there, just sometimes. I am also noticing that in the top 2 gears(13 speed), I am only able to get about 32 lbs of manifold pressure and the power just dies out at that point and the truck seems to sputter a little bit. I have 8000 miles on it, am wondering if it just needs to get brokein yet. I am sure hoping so, because its really sick on power and fuel mileage. Thanks for any help.
