Must not have been hauling very far to get that many in a week.

How often do you all normally washout your trailers? I am looking to drive for a company that reimburses for trailer washout, but was not even sure what all this entailed or how often you do it.

This really depends. What you hauled prior, and what the current shipper requires. When we hauled food grade corn into Minneapolis, we had to show a washout ticket before we could even drive on the scale.

Some places don't even want you there if you've hauled any bone meal at all.

Its really dependent on the shipper. Always ask when you get the load assignment, because sometimes a wash out is miles away, and they will turn you away if you don't have proof of a wash out. Hunting down a truck wash isn't fun, when your in the boonies. :biggrin_25523::biggrin_25525:

Thanks! I appreciate it. One last question for the day. How many of the regulars on here are members of OOIDA?

Does the truck stop directory book list truck washes, I forgot? If not, there's surely something online somewhere. I wash ours out once a year, don't really need it just hauling grain, but it gets rid of the dust that cakes up when you have to load in the rain.

I'm not an OOIDA member, but I do get their magazine, and appreciate what they do. I'm a member of http://www.mid-westtruckers.com/ They're similar, offer drug testing and other services.

I've seen some that do list truck washes. The standard pocket sized one that I always bought didn't though.

Yes, we are members as well, hubby and I both. Many benefits from being a member. Heck the life insurance through them is much cheaper than with any other company that we looked at.

What do you all recommend for new tires? Truck and trailer.
