the comment that a dyno cant be trusted is a little misconstrued actually. on race engines a guy with a dyno who builds engines will sometimes tweak his dyno to show more horsepower than the motor builder up the street.

the dyno can be trusted just not the operator.

if the testing is done on the same machine , and proper allowances made for temp, barometric pressure ,etc etc. the dyno can be reliable.

a test done by a independent shop could taken for face value.

but the same as anything else it all depends on the integrity of the operator.

the turbo 3000d when split right down the middle is basically a tube with two baffles in it , nothing else. on that note , whatever would have made it change the fuel to increase mileage, the only possiblity i could think of would be to restrict fuel flow to where the driver wasnt making jackrabbit starts and bumping the governor with every shift.

this device apparently differs in that it has screens in it, and given the fact it has no magnets inside, no electrical connections, nothing else attached to it, what scientific principal changes the molecular structure of fuel by simply passing thru a tube with baffles and screens?

i myself will contribute to a fund to to acquire one of these devices , have a machine shop cut it open and see if it differs from a turbo3000d. anyone else?

i wonder if anyone has done simple specific gravity tests on fuel after it passes thru these devices.

at races a simple test is done to see if fuels have been modified, gasoline , methanol, etc are easily tested.

is there a certain psi the fuel has to be when passed thru or could it simply be poured thru the device and changed?

if it works on gasoline and diesel it should work on methanol race fuel, maybe i could be given one to put on 15 horse ohv valve briggs and stratton animal kart race engine. it should pick up the power, should it not?

so anyway, can we split one open? justlet me know where to paypal or better yet can we split open one of the free ones?

Thx Dice and windsmith for your responses.

If anyone cares I run a 2004 freightliner century with mercedes engine, 5th wheel as far forward as it'll go, GMX 400 magnets on fuel line (came with the truck).
I run the speed limit or a little over. I was getting 7.25 last summer and I'm now getting 7.5+. Only change was an inframe and removing governor.
I'll be getting the tranny, rears, & bearings micro-blued, along with PP exhaust mani & muffler.

Thx again for the testing of different products and especially your documentation of those tests Dice!

Those magnets gotta be good for what? Atleast half a gallon?

1/2 mile per gallon minimum! I've never cared enough to test with 'em off. I think getting 5.75 mpg hauling 80k at 80mph is pretty good though!

To clarify, most of the time I run where the speed limit is 65. When I've gone out west hauling 80k I've noticed that my mpg are:
    5.75mpg at 80mph
    6.25mpg at 75mph
    6.75mpg at 70mph
    7.25mpg at 65mph

The 7.5+mpg I'm getting is because I'm sometimes lighter.

I guess that 1/10th mpg for every mph over 60 is true. I don't run under 65 enough to test all the way to 55 though.

? It's stupid to run the speed limit?

Oh I bet! Between an Eco crack pipe and some sweet magnets I'm on my way to 20mpg!
