Many CB transceivers come equipped with up to 7 weather channels (receive mode only). Are these of any use, either in the USA or Canada?

Sure they are. I have weather band on mine. The best part about is is when The National weather Service puts out an alert such as a severe storm warning, an alarm goes out over the weather band. If you are within range of any transmitter broadcasting on any of the seven frequencies you will hear this alarm, even if the radio is turned off.

I think the unit has to be tuned to a channel directly. I switched to find a weather station because the sky looked bad. I found one in the middle of the alert for a tornado warning in my area. My alert never went off.

We are all falling into the typical human trap.
Since we are pretty much looked down upon to everyone, its only normal that we have so many disgruntled truckers.

There is too much resistance between ourselves, the public and cops.
"Do as I say, not as I do!"

All this confusuion and anger builds up and we need to vent, but take it to another channel!

I'll gladly talk to anyone, but when it gets bad, off goes the power.
Don't be discouraged by "pottymouths"--If you ignore them, they will go away.

if you look for the good conversations you will find them. if you concentraste on the negative....that's all you will "hear"

BTW i have a 63 MPH truck and as long as i stay out of the hammer lane as much as possible i don't have anyone saying much about my slowness. LOL
