this thread says "worst truck stops for parking" for parking i promise you its not the best truck stop parking in the country, and yes this truckstop has a history but the new management could care less about the elephant story or the movie "larger than life"(you cant even find it in there) the restaurant is above average... i don't know what makes you think its the best truck stop in the country

I'm glad you mentioned that one. I've never been there in my years of driving. It just looked like it was hidden behind an ever-present pile of rubble. I usually stopped up the road at the J or the Petro.

(Gotta love the little bakery in the Petro!)

This thread has me wondering whether or not multi-level parking garages for semis would be feasible in the near-future.
Especially in Ebola hotzones like the Seattle and SF Bay areas where might have to wait a spell after a load/unload.

I wouldn't think so. I mean....there are enough driver hitting the big yellow concrete barriers around the fuel islands now. Imagine some of them in a semi-enclosed area with small turning areas.

    Scary!

Hey now, the TA is pretty easy to get into/out of. It's the Flying J that is awful. I live in the area and I don't even bother with the J there. I'm pretty sure the Ellenton Pilot isn't supposed to have truck parking. They didn't before...

There's also a Pilot in..Ft. Myers? It's the first pilot you come to on 75 after crossing Alligator Alley. (or the last one before you get to Alligator Alley). I love the older look of the store with the wooden walkways to get up to it and all. Parking is another story, really crowded and cramped.

LOL, I was about to correct his post also. The new Loves are nice as far as parking. They have the perfect set-up.
