    1) Parking them will not lower the cost of fuel. $ based on the WORLD market not the Toronto area

    2) Protest has more to do with the gravel haulers and the problems with axle weights.

    3) Theres a lot out there that wish they were getting $1.50 / mile

Where did you get "$1.50 a mile"?. They are paid by the hour. The protest is because they bid $63/hour on the job and that fuel was .99/L then and now fuel has gone to 1.35/L and $63/hr doesn't cut it. Anyone that bids rates that low likely deserves to go broke and paying drivers $18/hr in order to bid that cheap is shameful. :biggrin_25513:

The load broker is the smart one ! It's the truck driver that is the dummy if he hauls the brokers cheap freight.

As flatbed said this is the pebble pushers winning and crying about overweight tickets in part. Don't overload and you won't get a ticket. How many protests have happened over the years and nothing has happened.

At least they have effectively shut down the Trafalgar inspection stations both ways lol! Blocked off with cones and cop crusiers! But then Thursday night Oshawa and Bowmanville were both working hard...
