I received a ticket a couple years ago for burning rubber and fish tailing in downtown Atlanta (what do u expect I drive a Silverado). In police jargon I was ticketed for drag racing which a reckless driving charge. I went to court with a pre legal attorney head it dropped to basic rules violation and 500 dollar fine. In all 600 bucks but my MVR is still in good standing.

You need to use common sense when you ask a question. So how about 'deriving from that"???

Don't think he was in a truck, read his original post again.
No matter, 15 is reckless and not going to be good if it sticks.

And if you re-read my posting, I had originally said, " obviously, you have no respect for your license, no matter what type of vehicle you were driving".

I knew he wasn't driving a truck at the time.

I was ticketed for 72 in a 55 a few months ago while driving my car. I went to court and talked to the prosecutor who agreed to reduce it to "leaky load" which is a non-moving violation. I checked my BMV record and it says "Non-Pointable Violation 72/55." I have no active points. But they left the 72/55 designation intact. This would let anyone know that the charge was reduced. Caveat empter.

I thought 15 or less over the limit wasn't considered reckless?

Usually the courts only want the $.
Last ticket I had (20+yrs ago) - I recall working with the Prosecutor and offering
to plead guilty to a parking violation but yet paying the fine of speeding in full.
    They took it.

Today, yea...a lawyer would be my 1st call.

I did some research and found that the county I was ticketed in will easily deal down to an equipment violation. As I plan on being on the road when the court date comes, I have two choices. I could petition for a continuance or get a Lawyer. In TX they will give you 6 months probation and keep it off of your record. I know this because my Daughter went through the procedure. I suppose I’ll have to shop for an Attorney, though I hate to pay for something I could easily do myself.

It's not reckless in all states, a few years ago I got a 81/60 in Montana and my Oklahoma DVR only showed it as simple speeding.

It was a serious violation still, so my pennance was to slow down and stay off my motorcycle for 3 years... too much temptation riding it.

I am elated that you added a new word to your less than extensive vocabulary. You are welcome.Use it often while remembering that I expanded your base. Did you take the time to look the meaning up or did you post away and pretend?
You were grammatically incorrect with the way in which you chose to structure it into your reply as well as the lack of proper punctuation noting that you were quoting me.
I am willing to bet that you enter information into your qualcom and paperless log system in the same manner.
    Carry on driver. :Driver:
