I can not get my clutch to adjust in either direction. Pulled the adjustment bolt and gear out and it moves freely. Any ideas?

Put an air hammer with a dull or ground flat chisel bit in it on the adjuster ring teeth and rattle it around. They often free up as they get rotated with the air hammer. All the crap will fall out from the vibration. Depress clutch first.

just asking to make sure. Did you have the clutch pedal pushed to the floor while trying to adjust it? If it's not pushed to the floor the ring won't turn.

Take the adjuster out and start it. When you shut if off the compression trying to stop it may turn it. We have a truck that the teeth got knocked of the adjuster from this.

All the fine particles from clutch wear get thrown to the adjustment ring area of the clutch by centrifugal force, gets packed in and rusts freezing the ring. When the adjuster won't easily turn the ring STOP and remove the adjuster or you'll break it every time, they aren't very tough, free up the ring and reinstall the adjuster.

I use a hood prop to depress the clutch. Some guys cut a 2x2 or 2x4 to proper length and put it between the seat and the pedal.
