Anyone make food at home then use a food saver to keep it fresh?
I used to have meals from home and would seal them in a food saver bag, freeze then take it with me and warm it up in the truck microwave. -
Fresh sliced fruit on wooden skewers is a favorite on my truck, especially with a little vanilla cream cheese to dip them in.

2) you can cook in your truck and you dont have to get out in ugly weather.
3) you can eat more than just cheese and crackers or a bologna sandwich when you have a very long wait at a shipper or receiver.
4) you will be getting a meal that is not subject to someone elses whims as to how it should taste or look.
5) you will know that no one has spat in or done something even uglier to your food just because they are in a bad mood.
yes i would say that buying and fixing your own is alot better! -
I just bought a new cook book for crock pot meals at the Flying J today. I'll be posting recipies in the Recipies group soon.

So I have to ask the most experienced folks...
How do you clean up your kitchen-on-the-go?
Do you take a tub in with you when you shower?
Or is a rest area a better place to clean up?
As things stand now, and without experienced input, I am assuming that I will be filling up a small tub with hot water from a 12v kettle and washing up in the truck.
I would love to hear what folks do.
