Considering how many crooked people run the trucking industry, he should fit right in.

    Weird huh?
How, the ones that make the Laws are the ones that are the dirtiest and break em.

Then you have people (MAYBE like this guy in question?) that stayed down on their luck, and said F'it. He gave up, decided not to do "the right thing" any more.

Lets be honest, when you steal from a bank, it's not like you're stealing from the Citizens. That money is all insured. By the Fed. Gov. Ya know, the ones that are shaking hands with Big Bankers, International Banking, Usury, etc, that of which, has ruined this Nation. Did I say ruined? Yes. I did.

And, one last thing, forgive my OT, but for people holding out hope that this country will "improve", why? WHAT steps are ACCURATELY being taken to CHANGE (truly) this Country? Know what I see? The Middle East running outta oil, America becomes the next Oil King, has the top spot in the game, and will require EVERY Citizen to be chipped and tracked.

Basically, "the Matrix". The movie, only less sci-fi approach. But the moral of the story, is the one we're living RIGHT now.

Sorry, I'll drop by the political forums some time :)
Maybe. I've lost jobs over MY personal beliefs because I was a God fearing man "of a different culture". Hate to make the same mistakes twice.

actually, they cannot blanketly refuse to hire you based on a felony conviction, unless they can show negative harm would come from hiring you. IE; a company that does residential plumbing, HVAC, moves and hires someone with a history of sexual assualt

or unless it is otherwise prohited, IR; since a felon cannot posses a firearm they cannot work as an armed guard, armored car driver, etc.

3 yrs ago there was an EEOC case that proved this point.

I love it when topics like this come up and the buffons come out of the closet. So, as someone with 15 yrs CMV driving exp. who has a Class 5 FEDERAL FELONY for Bank Larceny, let me help.

CRE and most other companies, it is 7 yrs after release from probation/parole. However, smaller mom/pop local companies may waive this if the driver can get clearance from probation/parole.

Your both right, they should be locked up and have the key thrown away, after all no ex-con has ever gone straight or turned their life around.

lol, judgemental a lot aren't you?

lol, once again, I'm glad the judgemental crowd is on here. But your right, no one with a felony record can haul valuables. I'll remember that this summer, when for the third year in a row I drive a truck that belongs to the US Military from Colorado Springs to Miami, or the next load I haul for the US Mint, bureau of prisons. It depends on the company and the person.

Um, that link, is only talking about his HAZMAT endorsement or TWIC card, not other kinds fo frieght. A felony conviction doesn't disqualify from hauling other types of frieght: General goods, reefer, Agriculture, etc. only from hauling frieght that would require a TWIC card or HAZMAT endorsement

Every time I hear that word "Broker", I laugh. It is one back-@$$ed word, and we all know why.

But, with a CDL there are a lot of other jobs this guy may land in besides OTR. We all have dreams, his is going to require a bit more effort.
